I am now the very proud own of a new fridge freezer and have loads of space. Just putting my shopping order together and I wondered what peoples must have are in their fridge or freezers.

Thanks

Plenty of cold drinks. I have a glass dispenser in mine that I bought from Wyvake. It's like a huge kilner jar with a tap.

The other thing I've always stocked up on is salad and meats. It's so easy to put together a nice sanwhich without having to think about it.

Enjoy your fridge freezer. I loved it when we got a bugger one.

Cheeses , olives , yogurts , cold meats , salad , butter , thats pretty much a i have in mine ,my new fancy fridge has a special meat drawer and veg drawer so i tend to store more meat than i used to as it keeps fine for ages in there

Frozen veg like peas, sliced peppers, diced onion - makes life easy when it comes to cooking meals. Frozen fruit like mixed berries are cheaper than fresh - shake out what you need and leave to defrost overnight in the fridge. Buy a bag of ice - a lot easier than ice cube trays, especially in very hot weather when you can use lots of ice.

For the freezer - chips, garlic bread, peas/mixed veg, fish fingers, chicken burgers, pizzas, pies, prawns, ice cream!

Those are my must haves. Rest of the space for cooked food.

ice cubes if it does not have a dispenser

Our freezer is mainly stocked with good quality meat that I buy when it's on offer. Saves us a fortune. Other than that - frozen peas and spinach, ice cube tray, frozen homemade stocks of various kinds (made from e.g. chicken carcasses or fish bones after a meal and then frozen so I don't have to factor in using them immediately), ice cream, frozen breadcrumbs (I make them from bread that would otherwise be wasted, and it saves so much time when recipes call for breadcrumbs and I don't have time to get out the blender just for half a a cup of them).

I have a clear plastic drinks can holder and some clear plastic boxes in the fridge, which keeps everything in place. A bit like this....
