Just a short question for anyone interested in recycling. I am all for donating. But after the last purge, I had put my 15yrs old leather boots

into the regular trash bag mixed with other non-recyclable household waste. Old stiff leather, worn, unhygienic ....thought those old leather boots were just plain old crap. I donate only those old shoes (clean+good quality) that I bought and never wore much for whatever reason. Now I read that Nike recycle old athletic shoes. Next clean out day is coming soon! So my question is:
Were my 15yrs old leather boots...
- recyclable materials - I was wrong
- or non-recyclable gross waste which should be incinerated - I was correct ???
Need your opinions recycling ladies!!!
