Heat and housework

I'm struggling to keep the house clean and tidy in this heat. There's a tide of housework threatening to overwhelm! Reassure me this is going to end before I drown in my own filth and disorder Confused

A portable fan makes it doable!

I've given up. No visitors allowed to cross my threshold to see the dust. Just doing minimum. Once autumn arrives I will just sluice the place down.

I've taken to sitting out in the garden so I can't see the state of the house! I have quickly whipped round with the hoover about 7am a couple of times, before it gets too hot, but that's about as far as I've got recently.

Do as much as possible in the cooler hours of the day. Keep as cool as possible whilst doing it: almost naked with wet hair up in a bun and a fan pointing at you at all times really helps. This is how I did my 2 hours of ironing today and lived to tell... 😆
I also keep a spray bottle in the fridge with one part fresh eau de cologne to two parts of very cold water. That goes with me everywhere whilst I'm running around doing my jobs.
I do wish this horrid, relentless heat and bright sunlight would piss off already...it makes you feel ill 🤒😵
