How to find a reliable cleaner?

We're based in west london, how much should we expect a cleaner to charge & how do we find a good one?!

We have valuables in the house that have sentimental value so it ideally has to be someone we can trust, rather than a company "with insurance" who sends random cleaners & then denies all knowledge when somethings go missing 😂

We asked around with friends & neighbours but none of them know any good cleaners, and asked family but they live outside london.

We tried an app called "bizzby", and received a quote of £20 per hour. I'm not sure about their reliability.

Any advice on how to find & how much to expect appreciated!

Wow.. no one knows how to find a reliable cleaner?! Yikes.

So we've asked everyone we know, tried an app & posted in a forum online. I'm stumped as to what else one is supposed to do!

I found mine (country) in a local “through the door” magazine and (city) through an agency. 3 hours @ £12 an hour, though I give £40 because DS, play doh, painty fingers on the wall etc.

I've never found companies or advertisers to be reliable unfortunately. Only word of mouth seems to work, or randomly knowing someone willing & able
