Ironing Service

Hello,

I am wanting to start an ironing service. I enjoy it and more importantly, am good at it. I thought this was a good combination for venturing into this...

So, what would you be prepared to pay and how do you like it returned (I'd be doing local collection and delivery back).

Any input would be appreciated. Thank you :-)

I would want everything on hangers, so would give hangers. Don’t like fold creases

Check out the local competition before you set up - how do they work their charges out and do people drop off to them or do they collect from customers?

I much prefer dropping in and knowing when I can collect to having things collected and delivered from/to us as I found we were irregular in our needs for ironing and those ironing services that wanted to collect and deliver wanted it to be a regular thing so they could fit it into their existing schedule. It wasn't easy to arrange to drop off and collect if the business owners were out in the van. Now I drop into a launderette on my way to work and collect at lunchtime on the day things are ready - the guy always tell me when that will be. Accepting card payments is helpful too.
