In need of wise mumsnetters advice!! We recently bought a second hand two seater leather sofa, the sellers failed to mention theirs was a smoking household and now we have a sofa that reeks of cigarette smoke Shock and now I've noticed that the back of my lo's head smells of smoke after he's been sat on the sofa Sad and that's after I have tried.... baby wipes, cif disinfectant wipes, washing down with diluted fabric conditioner, washing with sugar soap and washing with cif floor cleaner. Any suggestions for more things to try and rid the smell? Thank you Grin

Outsmoke the smokey smell with incense sticks?

Can you put it outside for the day during the hot weather? Sounds barmy but sunlight is great on all sorts of things. You could clean the leather with saddle soap outside and let it dry outside. Separate the cushions from the base too.

Give it about 5 years. That was the only thing that really worked on one I had.
