Summer holiday - extra jobs for cleaner

We will be away for 2 weeks in the summer. I plan to ask our cleaners to come as normal over those two weeks. I'd like them to do a normal clean the first week but then use the time in the second week for some 'extra' bits. I'm drawing a blank though as to what to ask other than a deep clean of the bathroom. For context it's a 3 bed house, somewhat cluttered (so doesn't lend itself to a deep clean of rooms!), 3 children, no pets and 3 hours a week. Thanks

While we are away I'm going to be asking my cleaner (and her dh) to:

  • clean down front door, sweep street, clean outside security blind
  • brush down outdoor metal work (balcony grills etc)
  • clean glass canopy thing above oven
  • clean internal glass in house (certain door panels)
  • power hose terrace
  • empty out and totally clean two kitchen cupboards and one storage area
  • brush out, mop one room that previously had pets in it (has already been done but needs doing again)
  • deep clean my teen's room (because we don't often get the opportunity to tackle it properly)
  • thoroughly clean out laundry room including machines

However, however, I have been decluttering madly so that those chores are not too horrendous for her. And I will be giving her a small bonus/present on top of ordinary wages on our return.

I've just washed and re-hung curtains myself throughout the house (taking advantage of hot weather) and washed all winter woollens but that might be something you could ask her to do along with other stuff that gets done infrequently such as washing and changing of sofa covers, cushion covers, clearing out of cutlery drawers etc etc?

You can't really ask her to declutter as that would involve your input but you could ask her to go through food cupboards and chuck out anything that's beyond its sell by date (such as spices and baking ingreds)?

Inside the fridge, and the oven! Under the beds? Curtains or shampoo the carpets?

Clean outdoor furniture?

Windows?

PepperAndPops · 16/07/2018 16:55

Wipe down doors, skirting boards and on top of fridge etc?

Power wash the patio??? I run a cleaning business and would not expect that in a list of extra tasks... things we get asked:
-Clean all woodwork, skirting boards, doors, frames etc.
-clean blinds, Venetian style.. very time consuming.
-clean the inside of all windows.
-clean out the fridge/oven etc

Yes re: power washing patio - as mentioned Charlieboo - my cleaner's DH is coming to help with extra work . It wouldn't be on a regular cleaning list.
