Hi shouldbe enjoy your day....sounds like you and Dh are getting good at spending time together...my Dh and I should take a leaf out of your book!!!!

tortoise · 28/05/2007 11:43

Hi aufish.Hi shouldbe. Have a good day out.
Good start Luda.

I ended up tidying an area i didn't plan to do today! But it looks better anyway. Not done a proper job on it and the wall is still a little mouldy behind the shelf but i will do that on a sunny day when i can pile all the stuff into the garden!
Still need to put washing away!

glitterfairy · 28/05/2007 11:45

Hi shouldbe glassslipper and aufish. We have decided to cycle to the train station (a mile and a half)and get a train to the cinema to see the pirates film. It will be an adventure and I wont let anything get me down this week even getting wet!

I have managed to do a few of my tasks in the meantime and the living room is done and another load of washing.

tortoise · 28/05/2007 11:48

That sounds lovely GF. Have a great time. A little rain wont hurt.

glitterfairy · 28/05/2007 11:50

LOL tort try telling my dcs! They will think the train is fun though.

PinkMartini · 28/05/2007 11:50

HI Luda Time together has really helped dh and I get the relationship back on track - it's been great to be able to have time to just be a couple again - I love having the kids and am really missing them (the house is so quiet and empty ) but I'm realising how important it is to have time for us too. We've never bothered/found time or energy to make time for ourselves over the past 6 years and it was really showing.
Hi Tort you sound busy today
Glitter enjoy the wet ride (and the film)
Must go or we'll run out of time - see you later

glitterfairy · 28/05/2007 11:54

Hi pinkMartini everyone is welcome here as this is always a warm friendly space.

Jas · 28/05/2007 11:57

Flame is doing babysteps at the moment PinkMartini, but you are welcome to join in here. We all FLy to varying degrees of commitment, but it is a great thread for a chat and a kick to get you going again.

I've cleared out under the dds bed (not a job I was planning to do today) and hoovered. Just don't ask me about the fish tank!

OP posts:
glitterfairy · 28/05/2007 11:58

fish tank????? LOL!

Dont ask me about my dining room then.

PinkMartini · 28/05/2007 12:01

oh no! Now I'm not sure whether to go with Flame or here. I think I should probably get off MN completely and go and get dressed (to shoes!) LOL
But don't be surprised if you see me a little later in the week when my head and house are a bit clearer! thanks all!

tortoise · 28/05/2007 12:04

Welcome PinkMartini.

Jas · 28/05/2007 12:19

pinkMartini you could always do both! glassslipper is, which is why she talks about hotspotsand things!

I mostly just sit on mn, and do nothing

3 loads of drying 1 load in dryer
hoovering, polishing and sweeping up done
tidy conservatory done
abit of ironing (did a huge pile yesterday as well)

All in all a very productive hour or so for me, lets hope the next hour will be as productive.

tortoise · 28/05/2007 13:01

Stopping for lunch now. I seem to be doing all the silly jobs that don't need to be done right now. ie washing DS's school bags! Not a job that needs doing right now but i saw them, thought they are very dirty and then washed them!

Do you think i am just putting off the real jobs that need doing?

Jas · 28/05/2007 13:04

Mission is finally up

What needs doing that you are avoiding tortoise?

grouchyoscar · 28/05/2007 13:07

BANK HOLIDAY DISASTER!!!

I've smashed Patch and Austin's house

Good news, the residents survived and are living in a tupperware until I can get them a new abode thinking of this

Anyway FLY ladies, how you all doing? Oh and hello to all newbies here.

I've been Flying and taking it easy. The house looks good, my dad is coming round anytime and I feel calm (save for evicting Patch and Austin to substandard housing)

Hope you have good Bank Holidays

tortoise · 28/05/2007 13:08

Lol GO . Poor snails. I am sure they would be happy in anything! A large jar maybe?

Jas · 28/05/2007 13:58

GO You aren't really going to buy Patch and Austin a greenhouse are you?

I know what you mean tortoise but that is the thing about all housework. No one thanks you and by the next day it all needs doing again.

I've made curry for my tea tomorrow, and will set up the slow cooker in a bit for the rest of the family. We are all bored, and have no car now, so not going out today. I may have to bake something with the dds.
