I've recently had my step son (15) to stay for a week. For the two nights before he arrived we had his grandparents staying in the same room. The day they swapped over I changed the bed sheet and pillow cases but not the duvet cover. At the time I was so busy worrying about cooking for everyone etc I didn't really think about it, but now everyone has gone I'm worried that maybe that was a bit off. Was that really bad hosting? Or was it fine just to freshen the bed a bit as they're his grandparents?

Hmm. When there are two people sleeping in the bed (tends to be hotter) and especially in this warm weather I think it would have been better to change all the bedding.

But I wouldn't lose sleep over it now!

I change the beds totally, but. He's a 15 year old lad, I doubt he noticed or cared. I wouldn't worry about it.

In future maybe use a top sheet under the duvet for the first set of guests. Then you can change both sheets and pillowcase but not fight with the quilt cover.

We have a bit of a hierarchy of who can sleep in the same bedding. I think a teenage boy following his grandparents is absolutely fine.

I would have changed it but teen wouldn't have noticed anyway! Prob slept with the cover off anyway. Too hot for a top sheet. Will u worry about it in a year? No so forget it.
