Hi All - We have black slate tiled floor in kithen (didnt chose it and wouldnt have it again!) but cant change it - The original cream grout has gone very dirty but cannot get it clean I have seen black slate tiles with black grout recently so am now wondering if this would look better? or shall i attempt to clean up the original grout ? which would look best ? opinions please

I bet you can also get grey-ish grout to tone more with the slate.
However, have you got a little steam cleaner? They're really good if you get a decent one. If not, Cif usually gets it up clean.

cream grout is crazy! i agree re-grouting in grey or even black would be the best plan, that's what we have.

You can get a pale grey grout that looks good with black slate tiles - try B&Q or Wickes.

Agree re grey grout it looks good and doesn't show the dirt, and you can get someone else to do it as it will need scraped out before you re grout it.
