Cleaner for 6 hours

Hi, so I've just booked a cleaner for the first time to clean my house. As it's the first time (and only as it's just a one off) it will be quite a deep clean I would imagine. I've booked her for 6 hours, is this enough/too much time? What could she get done in 6 hours? I have 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom upstairs and 1 toilet downstairs. Also will she ask me what I want doing or will she just crack on? Thanks Smile

She will ask you if there are things you want doing, I'd have thought.
I mean, it does depend what the house is like. If it is a normal, lived in home, with no hygiene or years of hoarding issues, that should be plenty. If it's not been clean for decades, it is obviously going to be more of a challenge.
Do you want a "normal" clean - by which I tend to mean "things you can see", or are you wanting her to empty out kitchen cupboards / clean skirting boards / move furniture / clean windows / some other 'non-regular' jobs ?
Then there is the detail.... so, my cleaner empties all bins, but doesn't then line them with a new bag.... just as a tiny example.

Will depend on her personality a bit, too. I don't presume to tell my cleaner what to do, as she is far better at cleaning than I am Grin, however, there is no point in moaning afterwards that she hasn't done X,Y, or Z, if you didn't specifically ask her to. She isn't a mind reader.
