Just that really

I'm not sure I can face bottle after bottle of viakel and scrubbing.

I would say not. The best thing I've found is Kilrock gel. Suitable for shower hose, taps etc. For tiles etc, I use 3/4 pint hot vinegar mixed with 1/4 cup cheap washing up liquid and a tablespoonful of cornflour. Shake to mix and then spray on. Open widows and don't breathe in fumes. Wipe off with a scourer, rinse and dry. May need to repeat.

I've tried the kilrock on a 10cm patch of the most afflicted part of the shower screen. After the third application it was starting to look a bit better (leaving it on for 10 minutes, scrubbing, rinsing, ecloth drying and repeating). But it's a big shower cubicle (120cm by 90cm) so I can't ever see me finishing it this way.

I haven't tried vinegar though so I'll give that a go. I assume clear vinegar ?

Thank you !

Any vinegar will do, but I buy white vinegar in bulk.

If the Kilrock gel isn't shifting it, I wouldn't think vinegar or a steam mop would work.
