Someone please recommend me a cordless vacuum cleaner, good strong suction with a reasonable price...

I've had my Hoover Freedom for about a month and am pretty happy with it. The suction is very nearly as strong as my Henry and much better than my old corded Dyson.

wiziliz · 01/07/2018 18:59

Can I ask where you bought it pls.

I love my Dyson v6. But I know a lot of people don't. I don't have pets, so no pet hair to Hoover. But I haven't needed to use the 'big Dyson for over a year.

Had my VAX cordless a few week now and LOVE IT!!

It's pretty cheap too, its only £170 for the 32V. And there is a quick payment option for if you can't afford it right out. Pay £44 when you checkout. Get it free next day delivered with a free £50 toolkit included.

Pay £44 for a futher 3 months and then that's it.

SendYouUpInFlames · 01/07/2018 19:45

It also has boost mode and brush bar, So it gets fine dirt and pet hair.

flugelhorn81 · 01/07/2018 19:48

Watching with interest. I've heard good things about the cordless Dysons but they aren't cheap.

NamedyChangedy · 01/07/2018 19:49

My Hoover was from Amazon, on offer for around £100.

GertieGumboyle · 01/07/2018 19:52

My dad swears by a Black and Decker cordless one which he bought for about £60 for his cars.

GertieGumboyle · 01/07/2018 19:53

^^ think he bought it on Amazon.

I hate how I have to constantly hold down the trigger on my stain cordless it kills my hands after 5 mins.

Henry cordless was excellent when I tried, cordless but as big as a Henry so picks up loads

RachelfromFriends · 01/07/2018 20:09

DYSON not stain

MatildaMay · 02/07/2018 09:31

I just bought a cordless Dyson V7 animal and love it! I bought a refurbished model from the Dyson ebay shop (don't think these models have been used, pretty sure they're just returns) and it arrived looking brand new. It was over £100 cheaper than buying it elsewhere. Really recommend.

flugelhorn81 · 02/07/2018 11:37

That's a good tip @MatildaMay - I might have a look on there too. Struggling to justify the full price!

SluttyButty · 02/07/2018 11:46

Dyson V10 animal here and the suction is awesome. My long haired fur shedding dog is no problem for it. Expensive yes but they've sorted out issues from previous models and it's all you need, I sold my big Dyson.

And they did have one years interest free credit on the Dyson website, £33 something a month.

spugzbunny · 02/07/2018 12:35

Following with interest! I've asked for one for my birthday!

mommybear1 · 02/07/2018 15:48

Hi I have a Bosch Athlet it's brilliant washable filters mean it's always fresh smelling and has great suction

MarsBarsAreShrinking · 03/07/2018 07:51

@SendYouUpInFlames I ordered the Vax one yesterday on your recommendation... it's coming today and I am more excited than is normal for a new hoover.

I've had Dysons in the past and never liked them. The cordless one I've got now can barely cope with anything that's visible to the naked eye Hmm it really is shit. My friend has got one of the upright ball ones and it's like pushing a fucking tank. I'll never buy another one.
