Inherited these kitchen floor tiles when we moved house. can't afford to replace them yet and am sick of scrubbing them.
Any ideas as to the best way to clean them please?

Have you tried a steam cleaner?

Effendi · 29/06/2018 18:59

I borrowed a steam cleaner from my Mum for my tiles.
A lot of time and effort and they looked no better.
Hands and knees with cream cleaner and a scrubbing brush worked.

Scrubbing brush and Ajax worked for me n dirty textured floor tiles.

What are they ? Stone, porcelain or other material ?

niknac1 · 01/07/2018 14:55

Cif cream cleanser is what Ic recommend used with an abrasive washing up sponge.

Thanks for all the replies, sorry been camping and had no phone battery since I posted so wasn't being rude!
Not sure what material they are other than dirty floor tiles that I hate!
Have tried steaming them but only the scrubbing works. Not tried Ajax.
I am looking for an easy answer that doesn't exist, aren't I.

Magic melamine eraser worked brilliantly on our nasty backsplash tiles - but might be tiresome over a really large surface! Try in a corner and see if it gets cleaner.

Not heard of that, will google it. Thanks!
