Turning Mattresses - How often?

jinxed · 24/05/2007 17:02

We've recently got a new mattress, and I want to keep it "new" for as long as possible.

How often do you "turn" your mattress, and do you just flip it, or turn it around too?

Any other tips for keeping mattress in a good clean working order for the longest possible time?

Use a basic mattress protector or fleece u/blanket in winter. I would flip mattress once a year.

I can't flip my mattress, it has a hard base.

i think you are supposed to do it every 4-6 months but also rotate it i just turned mine for the first time in 5 years!!!

TBH I flip & turn every week - everytime I change the bedding

It weighs a bloody ton though cause its enormous

Thanks all.

I was wondering about doing it weekly when changing the bedding.

Any ideas where I can get a mattress protector from? my new mattress is very deep and am struggling with my fitted sheets already!
