Ants again!!!

Every year we have problems with ants and they are back again.

I just want to rant really as I am just sick of them.

They come up from under the bath upstairs, both flying ants and normal black ants. They also come from under the shower in the ensuite and it just stresses me out so much.

DH always manages to go away when we have the invasions and again he is away this week. At the worst last year we had a pest controller out who fumigated and sprayed pesticide under bath and shower and we found around 500 dead ants altogether.

I dont know what we can do to stop them.

I think the flying ants are only for a week a year. So should be gone soon

WD40
It's a deterrent rather than a killer but works!
Apparently it's too slippy for them to build or keep their nest so they move on.

elportodelgato I am not sure we had icing sugar so I used that but I am still getting them come in.

I’m not sure if it sometimes depends how many you have coming in as each year we get hundreds Shock

Dry weather can bring ants in numbers, attracting the creepy, crawly critter indoors as they search for food and water. Ant infestation itself pose a unique set of challenges. It is extremely difficult to clear them off. Carpenter ants or white ants can cause a lot of damage to your home. Initially trying out some DIY's may help, but if the numbers keep on increasing it is better to take help from the professional pest exterminator (www.eg-exterminatorsnj.com/). They will inspect every corner and will apply the correct solution.
