Help how do I get old fashioned biro out of a t-shirt????

Serves me right for being on MN with dd on knee. Normally I don't bother but it's new and she's literally drawn a picture on it.

About 20 years ago my friend got biro on her parents new sofa. Boy did we panic! It came out using on of those hand wipes they hand out on aeroplanes. No idea why we tried that but it worked.
