All once a year except the bins- that’s never!

isthistoonosy · 23/06/2018 21:11

6 monthly
? - once a year
some have never been done (8 yrs in this house)
don't have one, potato store cleared once a year
never (only put out bins about 4 times a year though)

dudsville · 23/06/2018 21:14

Clean the oven? NEVER
The insides of your windows? Every 2 months
Kitchen cupboards/drawers? (Empty out and clean) Annually if not sooner if need be.
Pantry? Annually if not sooner as need be.
Wheelie bins? Outdoor ones? NEVER. Indoor bin - the lid inside and all the outside about every other week.

ClickHip · 23/06/2018 21:15

Once every 2 years. Life's too short for such business.

Justgivemesomepeace · 23/06/2018 21:16

Oven prob about every 3 months, Windows every few weeks (sticky fingers), pantry every couple of months (gets really messy), kitchen cupboards/drawers never, wheelie bins never!

Iwantaunicorn · 23/06/2018 21:16

At least once a year, maybe twice
Probably once a year, but depends if there’s dog snout marks so maybe more often for a couple of windows
When I’m pregnant/decluttering
Don’t have one
Whenever I can persuade someone else to do it, so maybe every other year

Aprilshouldhavebeenmyname · 23/06/2018 21:17

Dh does all!! Grin

Lovewinemorethanhusband · 23/06/2018 21:21

I clean my oven monthly
Windows weekly as I have a window vac and 2 young children they are filthy constantly as have floor to ceiling doors in my front room
Cupboards and drawers 6 monthly
Dont have a pantry
Inside bin gets a wipe every week
Wheelie bins never !

crazymumofthree · 23/06/2018 21:22

Oven I'll give it a quick wipe over as and when needed, proper clean probably every 3/4 months or when needed (it does self clean inbetween and just flashes up and I press a button!)

Inside of glass once every 2 months or if I see its looking especially grubby!

Inside of cupboards every 3/4 months for cups ones etc, food cupboards I clean every month probably, I'll give them a clean when needed and the food shop is coming so there pretty empty (same with fridge)

Pantry I don't have.

Inside of bins I pay £4 each and a man comes and cleans them probably do it only twice a year!!

happymummy12345 · 23/06/2018 21:24

We have a free standing gas cooker. Every day I clean the hob, glass lid and the front of the oven and grill. Inside the oven and grill doors get wiped when needed. But the whole oven is cleaned with oven pride- shelves out, and properly cleaned every 3 months.
Windows themselves are cleaned once a month. Ledges weekly.
Kitchen cupboards/ draws are properly cleaned every 3 months.
Don't have a pantry.
Wheelie bins are done (by dh to be fair) a few times a year. Usually at the beginning of summer, the end of summer, and some time around the end of the year or the beginning of the next one.
I don't see how anyone could not clean windows and ovens and cupboards more regularly than what has been said.

Sparrowlegs248 · 23/06/2018 21:28

Blimey this has surprised me! Given that mumsnet is the place of thrice daily showers with a clean towel each time, I was expecting different replies. I have cleaning the oven. I need to do it tomorrow bit wondered how often is realistic. I do the fronts and hob, glass lid weekly. I've just cleaned both the wheelie bins once they were emptied in the last 2 weeks so need never do them again by the sound of it.

About once a year, except the wheelie bins - never. My mum cleans the oven every time she uses it, about 3 times a week. She thinks I'm disgusting and I think she's mental, haha

mycatplotsdeath · 23/06/2018 22:06

Bin every week after it's emptied ( have a bin cleaning man)
Oven every 6 months ( have a oven man)
Everything else never

EcoCleaner · 25/06/2018 08:31

I have a rule. As part of my weekly clean, I do 1 thing that I don’t always do, eg clean the windows, clean the oven, wash the curtains, clean inside the cupboards etc. So that everything still gets done periodically, just not every week

MikeUniformMike · 25/06/2018 10:59

Clean the oven? - Never. Can't remember when I last used it. If it needs cleaning DP can do it.
The insides of your windows? - Regularly - as and when I notice they need doing.
Kitchen cupboards/drawers? (Empty out and clean) - about once a year
Pantry? Don't have one.
Wheelie bins? - you are joking?

alwaysiero · 25/06/2018 11:08

Oven hob and door fronts get cleaned daily if we've used it. Deep clean inside every couple of months unless it needs doing sooner.
Inside of windows at least once a month, French doors more often.
Kitchen cupboard doors get wiped down daily and every few months I'll drag everything out and clean the insides.
Wheelie bins twice a year, garden hose and zoflora.

CharlotteBailey · 28/06/2018 12:25

Clean the oven? - I use it often (several times a week) so I try to clean it once a week or fortnight.
The insides of your windows? - Cleaning the windows is the most unpleasant chore for me. But I tackle it monthly because I have two toddlers and a lot sticky fingers.
Kitchen cupboards/drawers? - Weekly.
Wheelie bins? - Never. I wipe clean inside bins only.
