Wasps' Nest?

LIZS · 21/06/2018 21:57

Today have noticed a few wasps hovering around an area in the eaves of rear porch where we had a nest ten or so years ago. Is there any way to deter them from nesting again?

They always come back to the same spots, even years apart. They must have some sort of tripadvisor.
Buy a can a wasp spray, wait till it is night and dark, when all the wasps are inside. Spray it and the next day you can bin it.

Thanks. Found some Raid so have squirted that around where they hover and under the tiles. There seem more flying around at the moment but maybe it will take effect soon.

Your local council will probably offer a cheap service to remove via their environmental health team.

Jeyes fluid is really good, the strong smell puts them off from buildings a nest there

Had it treated yesterday, 2 separate nests apparently just a few feet apart. There are still a few hovering around but he said it can take a day or two for them to go elsewhere.
