I am 32, live with my (messy) partner and 2 indoor cats, work full time and have Bipolar type 2.

I just cant seem to keep on top of the house no matter what i do or how much time i spend cleaning its ALWAYS dirty and messy! Im so tired after work and at the weekend (mainly due to my meds but there is an element of lazyness too!) so I am really struggling.

I even have a cleaner but I think i need to get rid as shes just not doing the job i wouldve hoped for :(

does anyone else have this problem! how does everyone keep on top of it all without sacrificing a full day a week to clean!?

Pick up after yourself. Put things away, then the only work is vacuuming, dusting, wiping down work surfaces and cleaning the toilet every now again. Your house should not be spotless, it’s not a furniture show room, it’s a place where you live and do things.

hmmm..the thing is my partner also is so messy he NEVER puts things away his tidying is shove everything on the spare room bed! he always cooks so the kitchen is my room to keep on top of (whether ive eaten or not!) and the cat litter is left to me.

im not cinderella but its so annoying especially with low energy and re occuring depression

Go through each room by room or cup board by cupboard and start decluttering. Cleaning is always easier when you have less stuff laying around.
