Cleaning routine and chronic pain condition.

I was just wondering, for those with a chronic pain condition and extreme fatigue, how do you keep on top of the housework? What are your routines?
I have had chronic pain for over ten years now and I’m so house proud. I just can’t physically keep on top of it all. I hate not being able to do my own cleaning, it drives me mad because i want to do it. Please give me any tips you’ve got?

I can't "keep on top of it", I just do what I can whenever I feel able to. Mind you, it's only me and DH living here, he's out at work 14 hours a day so doesn't really see the state of the place and we never have any visitors. Maybe if we did I'd find the reserves to do a bit more.
We're moving into a brand new house in a couple of weeks. It has a lot more rooms than we have at the moment and I'm stressing out about how I'll keep it clean. Tempted to get a cleaner in once a month.

Minimise 'stuff', less stuff = less dust

Keep any pets off nice furniture

1 room a day even if it's a 10 minute wipe around with a bleach wipe

Bleach down your loos once a week and change beds on Sunday so you start the week with lovely fresh sheets

Don't try and do too much in one day as you set yourself up to fail

I have a prolapsed disc and osteoarthritis and I can honestly say with a young dd I just can't keep on top of it all. Some things that have helped me are: bought a swivel sweeper as it's light weight, easy to maneuver, easy to empty, no bending over with a dustpan and brush; I don't have a dishwasher so I sometimes use paper plates and disposable cutlery; spread my jobs out throughout the week eg. kitchen one day, bathroom another day etc. (I used to clean the whole house once a week, apart from daily chores, but my back can't handle it now). I clean the shower when I am in the shower with one of those telescopic poles you attach a microfiber pad to, I use natural cleaners including diluted vinegar in a spray bottle. Vinegar is great for cleaning glass and it kills mould and neutralizes soap build up. Wiping the oven and stove with oven wipes reduces the need to give it a scrub.
