Super boring laundry question - bobbling!

Sooo...I bought a really nice new black long floaty skirt, and it fits me so nicely and I want to live in it (I'm 7 months pregnant and finding something that fits and looks nice is such a mission) and anyway, I washed it and there's a huge patch of black cotton bobbles :( :( :(

They look dreadful and I want them to be gone!

Any ideas?

I would be so happy!

Bic razor, shave them off

PillowMuncher · 18/06/2018 05:53

Yes to shaving them off! I actually bought a clothes shaver off amazon but a bic razor would probably do the job. I've revived so many clothes since I started shaving them!

You can get clothes defuzzers which work well

Also (I learnt this very late in life so you probably already know it) never wash it with towels or rough things as it rubs whilst washing.

I’ve ruined clothes in the past by trying the razor tip.

I just a Velcro hair roller, it’s gentile enough that it doesn’t damage the clothes but removed the bobbles.

Try a lint roller (or a Velcro roller - great tip!) first. Get a battery-operated de-bobbler (about £7 on Amazon), it's too easy to be heavy-handed with a razor IME.
