How do I clean stainless steel kitchen appliances?

Have a new kitchen which includes all brand new stainless steel dishwasher, american style fridge freezer and cooker hood.
I have marks and smudges already on the cooker hood from fitting and first cooking on my new job resulted in some food splat on it too (getting used to new hob)!

I am aware it will get marked and look awful and smeary if I just use a damp cloth or wipes. What's the best way to clean it?

Wipe dirty marks off with a wet cloth and polish it off with a dry E-cloth. If it’s still streaky, you can use baby oil on a paper towel and wipe excess off with a new clean paper towel. I swear by baby oil. It looks like brand new

I was going to suggest baby oil too.

Use the Baby oil after you have cleaned it . It makes it shiny and things stick less

I agree with the other posters baby oil is amazing but I would add we are in the same position brand new kitchen with all stainless steel appliances- I just use fairy and a microfibre cloth to actually clean (DH is a messy cook 🙄) then baby oil either for extra shine or to remove fingerprints please don't use a sponge I made that mistake (the scratchy side) and marked one of the appliances- gutted 😢.

Ok thanks. Will invest in some ecloths and baby oil.
