Crap cleaners - are my expectations too high or just unlucky?

We decided to get a cleaner when I increased my working hours to save arguments & free up our weekends. I went for an agency after failing to find a local recommendation but I've just come home to find the 3rd cleaner they've sent has done a shockingly bad clean (kitchen floor still has muddy footprints from yesterday, stairs not hoovered rest of house no corners, surfaces wiped but smeary or still dusty, toilet run still stained, bath feels scummy etc) .
She had 3 hours to do downstairs wc, 1 bathroom, all downstairs wood hoover & mop (2 largish rooms + hall) hoover stairs & 3 bedrooms & dust master bedroom). Is this realistic?

Even if the time was too short, which it wasn't, she didn't even do a good job on the bits she did attempt.

That's my thoughts too @Ohlellykelly . I wouldn't have minded if she'd have said sorry didn't have time to dust but clearly did everything I asked but literally every single thing was done badly (& she used half a large bottle of zoflora so stinks to high heavens!)

I'd try and find a local cleaner again. If not on Facebook try gumtree or Google. But Facebook is your best bet, on a local page. She's taken the piss, she should have done the rooms she could manage, really well. Don't lay or ask for a refund and take photos for proof.

The agency need to put things right. That why you use them.

gamerchick · 09/06/2018 11:46

She's been shockingly trained if she doesn't know how to use zoflora as an example. You only need a capful not a slosh. It's flammable so needs careful care during use.

Really you should have summoned her supervisor to go over her clean. Might be a bit late now though. Don't have her back and please tell the agency that she needs proper training and ask for another.

using an agency myself, but it took awhile to find these, changed 2 individuals and 2 agencies until i got these, so indeed finding a decent cleaner is a surprisingly difficult task! but I am renting airbnb apartments, can make abs no compromise regarding cleaning and dont have time to clean after the cleaners really
so sending contacts of those currently cleaning for me (it's been their 3rd year or so cleaning my properties, recently hired them for my moms office too), maybe call them to give you a one-time clean and compare and then decide
