Where do I find wonderfully soft duvet covers?

Hi. I usually just buy duvet covers with nice designs that are on the cheap side. I'm starting to find them a bit rough on my skin and am looking for some nice soft cotton. What is it that I need to look for? Do they have to be extortionate?

I have a microfibre duvet and I believe you can get microfibre covers. It's lovely and soft.

PS I do all my washing in Head and Shoulders. As it doesn't irritate my scalp, I feel I am NOT allergic to it. It's fine in the machine- used it for ten years now. I use Head and Shoulders one with the built in conditioner.

Just used a new set of seersucker bedlinen from The White company...400 thread count and cotton sateen...it's so soft and silky , and it's in the sale!

Dunelm sell Dorma bedding.
I have bought quite a few pieces from there recently and have found them to be cxellent. I think they do a 350 , a 500 and a 700 thread count. Very reasonable prices.
I also buy from Zara and The White Company.
But seriously, have a look at Dorma at Dunelm. I bought a fitted sheet in the sale which was a 500tc and it was about £25. I decided if it wasn’t very good I could just put it on a spare bed. It’s so lovely I went back and bought another two for my bed and two for daughters bed.
Remember, the more you wash them the softer they get.
I have Irish linen sheets from the 1930’s which are amazing in this weather.
I can’t abide cheap scratchy linen. And bobbly sheets - urrgh.

It’s SO worth buying plain good quality bed linen - if you look after it properly it will last you a lifetime.
