I was cleaning my toilet yesterday and suddenly fancied a curry.

Bathrooms are the most gratifying as you can really see the difference, oh what am I saying what a saddo!

i love having my house clean clean clean not just tidy but CLEAN!

i am a closet "happy housewife"!

I love that feeling when the house is sparkling and the laundry's up to date and I can feel that I deserve to sit down and watch rubbish tv with a clear conscience...

I was sitting down on Saturday afternoon and DH asked me why I was smiling - had to tell him it was because I'd just mowed the lawn and there was a load of washing drying on the line - doesn't take much to make me happy.

Cleaning pisses me off cos the ungrateful b**s I live with make it their life's mission to see I never stop doing it. Had a full on breakdown yesterday after 2 days solid of laundry, cleaning ovens, bathrooms, dishes, hoovering under beds, sorting wardrobes AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH. So glad it's Monday and I'm at my desk. Is everyone's weekends/days off like that, or just mugs like me?

I have no resentment re cleaning am in happy place. I care if it's grubby and no-one else seems to

dh cares about other stuff so he does that

most of his stuff is rotten jobs he spent the weekend going to the tip and back and dragging bits of thorny dirty tree around the back of the house

What makes it worse is that DH is always at work, so I've got the 2 bitches-in-training fighting every 5 minutes and me having to stop what I'm doing to break it up, despite one of them being 12 and the other 3. DD2 then came into the room I was painting (did I mention that?) and leant against the wall in her new Fat Face T-Shirt. This is what sparked the meltdown cos DD1 was supposed to be entertaining her for an hour whilst I finished painting her bedroom. Anyone got any prozac going spare? Bachs rescue remedy isn't strong enough.
