Anyone’s experiences / reviews wanted

How does it compare to BT if you have had both

Watching with interest as we have BT and their internet speeds are pants Wink

We had BT for years and I was reluctant to change because I was afraid of being left without during switchover.
Got an astonishingly cheap deal from Sky, a fraction of what BT charged.
The speed is the same. If you live in an are with high speed internet you will have a choice of speed packages but if like us you only have bog standard internet there is unlikely to be a change in speed as all the companies except cable use the same wires that come to your house and that is your limiting factor.

I think a lot depends on area and individual needs, but for us

BT wins hands down.

Yes it’s not cheap, their call centres have been a bit troublesome (but they’re getting better since BT committed to bringing it back to the U.K.).

My NDN is having a right issue with Sky at the moment, they haven’t had internet for a few days, Skys solution? Pay to send an Engineer or if they committed to renewing contract for 12 months, they would send for free. That’s outrageous and I would have gone ballistic at that.

I’ve already said this today (from said conversation with NDN) our internet service is flawless (touches wood and prays).

We had BT business which was very good. Same line of course but they gave a shit when you had to contact them. Switched from that when DHs company stopped paying for it. Went to talktalk- huge mistake!
Went back to BT but just the normal personal section. Was ok at first but then we kept having no broadband at all. They reluctantly came out and kept emphasising that we’d have to pay if the engineers found it was our fault. They came out and said it was all working ok - except we had no broadband. Moved to Sky. So far so good. Been with them for a few years now.

We had BT for 8 years, constant problems, had 3 new home hubs but the connection was always dropping, they said they needed to come & dig the drive up (2 months after we had it block paved) to get to the cables & check things out. I swapped to sky instead & touch wood haven't had a problem at all in the 2 years since!!

Bt was mega cheap. We had loads of problems and they didn't seem to want to sort it. The only reason we moved to them when we moved was because sky couldn't give us a date when they could install it due to moving to a new build. Never been so happy to change back!!
