Which dishwasher do I want???

We are re-doing our kitchen. I have planned it to within an inch of it's life, and it is going to be fab. But I don't know whether I have lost my mojo, there is too much choice, or I am missing something crucial, but I have no idea how to pick a dishwasher!

I know that I want a cutlery basket and not a tray, a good energy rating (A++?), I would like a rinse aid indicator, an eco and a quick wash option, fully integrated, and it has to fit my 26.5cm Denby dinner plates.

I thought that would be enough but there still seems too much choice, and I can't find any sites that will tell me about the plate sizes that fit. Can anyone please help a frazzled woman whose builder just wants me to make my mind up!? Thank you!

Does anyone have the Whirlpool WIO3T1236PEUK? Is that any good?

I think I have narrowed it down to these four:
Indesit DIFP8T94Z
Whirlpool WIO3T1236PEUK
Zanussi ZDT26030FA
NEFF S513G60X0G

Any thought gratefully received!

Don't want to read and run.

I have a Tricity Bendix...they probably don't make them any more😄

It is about ten year old. Has a cutlery basket - yes agree it is better.
It holds my Wedgewood Sarah's Garden which are about the same size as Denby I think.
I have to choose a new one once I have decided on the kitchen😄

I've had another look this morning. The Whirlpool is favourite. I think :)

Whirlpool are the same company as Hotpoint which puts me off. We have a Neff dishwasher - different model - and I really like it. It cleans brilliantly and is quiet.

I know there have been the tumble dryer issues but I've Googled for Whirlpool dishwasher problems and can't find anything.

The closest NEFF didn't quite tick all the same boxes. Which model do you have?

We have the S51E50X3GB. Mid range integrated model.

Thanks, wowfudge. I'll take another look at the NEFFs. My DH thinks we should go for a brand with a better reputation, so I've stocked up with chocolate and I'm settling in for another session comparing reviews :)

Can't believe nobody's recommended this dishwasher yet. Best on the market.

Bosch make excellent dishwashers.

Iwantawhippet · 06/06/2018 21:14

Join which magazine and get a Best Buy. We did for all our kitchen appliances and they’re all great. Much better than last time when we went for Bosch for everything.

wowfudge · 06/06/2018 21:31

I use Which? The Neff dishwasher we got was rated 2% below a much more expensive Neff Best Buy.

Just to throw a spanner in the works I highly recommend AEG
