this week??

I've tried flying on 3 seperate occasions - each time for a couple of months (so yes I did give it a chance) but it just didn't work for me.

DS3 is due in 2 weeks time, and I've got lots of stuff that needs sorting (the office for starters looks like a bomb has hit it!) thinking I'd like to get it done this week before DS1 is home from school for half-term next week.

Does anyone want to join me????

My lounge/diner is pretty much ok, and the upstairs loo is tiny so will only take 20 minutes or so to do. So today I'm hoping to have do those 2 and as much of the office as possible.

Tuesday will be the DS's room (there's not a lot needs doing in there as I had a bit of a sort out a few weeks back - but it's just generally a bit messy).

Wednesday will be our room - again was sorted a while back so just needs tidying up a bit (and may sort through some of my clothes as there's loads I haven't worn for ages

Thursday will be the kitchen

Friday the bathroom........

So.........would anyone like to join me.

Even if I don't get "all" of each room done each day I will still post 'updates' as to how I'm doing - and I wouldn't mind some company

someone - anyone?? Doesn't have to be a major blitz like mine - just keep me company by telling me what housework you've done????

My house is a tip today. Dd1 off school with chicken pox and has done sticking and gluing and painting and drawing and the tiny bits of cut up paper look like a shredder has exploded. dd2 likes to empty every puzzle and game into a heap in the middle. I have to stop hiding on mumsnet and start to dig for the floor.

So, i'm in.

Boco - join the chickenpox club - DS1 was off 2 weeks ago with it and DS2 has it ATM - thankfully now a little happier than the last few days but still stuck in the house.

right - now I've had my ass whipped and found a little company I'm off to get dressed (in my defence it was my lie-in this morning and I've had a shower and got a load of washing in the machine)....

I'm going to find the kitchen.

sounds to me like your pretty sorted fannyannie!!

my d/d's room is looming so i should get off here and do it. Just finish tea and another rich tea

fannyannie · 21/05/2007 12:38

right - little update from me

I'm dressed
DS2 has his lunch (don't know whether he's eating it or not - I've left him sat on the sofa watching TV with his plate on his lap LOL)
2nd load of washing is nearly finished

And best of all - people can nearly go into our upstairs loo (main bathroom is downstairs) without wanting to get out as quickly as possible - the taps are shiny and there's no 'misses' from the DS's around the edge of the bowl , still need to give the inside of the toilet a scrub - but it's not going to look much better than it does as the previous owners scratched all the enamel and as a result no amount of cleaning/bleach/etc etc makes it look 'nice'.......

But still it's a job out of the way

I washed up, put on some washing and started folding clothes, but have become distracted by my dcs game which seems to be about vomiting in a school.

fannyannie · 21/05/2007 12:45

hmmm sounds like a lovely game .

I suppose I should go and eat lunch (I'm very good at feeding DH and the DS's but often forget about myself - which is very naughty I know especially when I'm pg .

Then I think I'll attack the inside of the toilet..........and then start on the dreaded study (there's some pictures taken a few weeks ago on my profile) - not quite the 'same' mess (it's been rearranged LOL) but still just as messy !

ooops had a rather 'extended' lunch break - about to crack on now - must get the washing on the line now it's stopped drizzling and I WILL start on this damned office LOL.

I'll join you - state of house getting me down but debilitating morning sickness stopping me from doign much about it.

fannyannie · 21/05/2007 14:41

good luck peck - remember even tidying up the kitchen after cooking dinner is 'housework' so counts towards it

I've now put my washing on the line and put the last load (a pile of baby clothes I was given) in the machine - about to start attacking the office eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek !

how are you doing girls??

I've (finally) made a start on the office - debating whether I should 'semi' sort DH's papers out (ie put all letters from A company together, all from B together and all from Z together) neatly and let him sort them properly - or whether I should just leave them all be...

Thing is I can't really do an awful lot unless his paperwork is sorted into some sort of order - and I guess if all correspondence from one company is together it's easier for him........but then again he does tend to have piles of 'current' paperwork and 'filed' stuff (which is mainly in the filing cabinet/on top as there's no space inside) and I could completely screw it up
