Fitted Cupboards

Ok, granted I live in London...I was quoted 1000 pounds for ONE fitted cupboard. A very simple one at that. Is this the going rate for cupboards or was the carpenter having a laugh?

absolutely taking the p I think!! Get the impression he probably did not want the job.

How big was the cpboard though? I was quoted a similar price a few years ago for a wardrobe-sized cupboard in pine to go in the kitchen as a broom cupboard/larder....

sounds like he doesnt want the job, get more quotes, another 2 at least....

well, i was quoted 10000, so 1000 doesn't look too bad to me! granted, it was top end, but still just a fitted wardrobe... needless to say we will not be going with that quote.
