How much do you pay for a cleaner?

I'm getting quotes for a cleaner to come every 2 weeks. I reckon it will take around 3 hours to do a general clean of house. So far the lowest price I've been quoted is £12 per hour for this. I have friends who pay far less for a cleaner so it's left me wondering do I haggle?

Any advice welcomed.

Thanks

I charge £12 per hour for two weekly clean. If you tried to haggle on price I'd say no Smile

I paid £10 an hour for a cleaner who provided their own products but was bloody awful and my house was never clean

I now pay £10 an hour for an absolute diamond of a cleaner that I provide all the products
I actually prefer to supply my own as i know it is being done

I would quite happily pay my current cleaner 12-15 Per hour

If you find a good one and you can afford it you won't mind what you pay

I pay £12 per hour in London for an excellent cleaner
I've been using her for years and she refuses to put her rate up (I've asked!) so I give her a good Christmas bonus instead

I pay 10 per hour but it takes approx 4-5 hrs every two weeks for a three bed home. Tbh if you find someone good, don't bother haggling. I made this mistake initially by thinking I could get cheaper but then ended up with a series of crappy ones.

I didn't haggle! Looking forward to the first clean! 😁
