Storage solutions needed please - what do you do with old letters and cards?

I have about 6 or 7 various shoe/gift boxes full of letters etc from my youth (went to b-school and so have kept a fair few letters from then)
Am reluctant to chuck but it's not like I look at them. Any ideas?
TIA

If our not bothered, chuck/recycle them.
Otherwise stick them in your loft.

Depends how much effort you want to put in - DH scans things like this & then chucks the paper copy - he just scans it as an image, not as text.

I have a big wooden box for keepsakes. Once it's over-flowing, I cull it; about once a year.

Some cards tend to be very repetitive I would bin those.I would save just the best ones, the things that soemone take the time to make them more special or those that make you smile.

In Tesco, you can buy box files with press button sides. They're quite handy and smaller than shoe boxes so easier to store. Have all different colours like pink/purple etc.
