Oven door cleaning

Hi all,

Does anyone know how to clean an oven door that has an extra piece of glass behind it. Not sure how else to describe it. Theres a gap at the bottom but i cant see how to take it out to clean it properly. Its a whirlpool built in oven if that makes a difference. Thanks 😊

It sounds a little bit like mine (not built in though), it's kind of like the door is double glazed?! Are you sure it doesn't come off? Mine does, with about 8 screws (I think) holding it in place around the sides. Can you post a photo?

I never take my oven door to clean it.
Get yourself some oven mate from Lakeland, it's excellent stuff, you paint it on then wipe it off, no scrubbing, horrible smell.

Excuse the state of it. Yeah its like its double glazed but sealed all the way around apart from a gap at the bottom. So i want to clean inbetween the two panes of glass

I was hoping there was a clip i could undo rather than taking a screwdriver to it tbh. Probably the only way though

Hi Mine is like that. With a gap. There are clips you press at sides which release the internal glass on mine. It comes out completely so you can clean fixed glass and both sides. What make is yours?

Sorry just seen it's a whirlpool.

Avoiding cooking by posting. There are lots of YouTube vids on removing cleaning whirlpool oven doors. Might help? Otherwise, you could download your manual from whirlpool website?Smile

Thanks @Geppili

Ive found the manual and it looks like the door needs to come off Angry

That door looks pristine in comparison to mine!

U r so welcome! Sad to admit that was my first ever post after being a member for 10 years!

I just had a look at my oven and tthere aren't even clips. You press on the edge of the glass and it pops out. It's really satisfying because you can then use a scraper to just peel all the gunk away! Enjoy!

Sorry I didn't realise the glass was dirty inside the door, I thought you just wanted to take it off to make cleaning easier.
And I don't think your door looks that dirty either!
