I have a cat. Fairly effective at insect destruction but will knock anything over in pursuit of said insects.

@AuntFidgetWonkhamStrongNajork I have 2 cats, but they're useless... they bring live mice in and let them run riot Confused

Maybe an odd one but the astonish germ clean disinfectant spray. Had one in the bathroom the other week. First thing to hand i had was my astonish spray managed to spray the fly mid air and it immediately crashed to the ground. Worked quicker than any fly killing spray i've ever used before Grin

Sticky backed velcro (you can buy rolls of hook or loop individually, you need hook) on the frames and net fabric which you cut to fit and stick on the velcro. Lets air in and keeps bugs out.

Those bead curtains are meant to keep flies out too, mint plants outside the doors, and clear bags of water hung above doors and windows. I have tried putting mint by the door, it didn't work, not tried the others yet.

I don't use sprays as we have bees living above the windows and they keep popping in, however I find that opening the door or window and swooshing them towards it often works. Failing that a rolled up newspaper or a kitchen roll and wait until they aren't looking.
