Fluff and dust in laundry room

We have our washing machine and dryer in the utility room and there always seems to be a layer of fluff on everything in the room. I understand that it's the dryer that is causing all the fluff, but I'm wondering if others have the same issue..

It's a very old vented dryer so maybe that's why it's not working as expected. There is a tiny window in the room which I always keep open when the dryer is running. On really bad days, there is also some condensation on the walls. Is this because the room is tiny or is my dryer just crap and I should get a new one??

TIA :)

Hi we tend to get this if we haven't cleaned the dryer filters so I'd try that first - good luck
