Not really sure if this is the right place to post this but I want to create an accountability thread for myself or anybody who wants to join in.
I am on holiday tomorrow for five days and when I get back I am going to make drastic changes. I’m sick of living in a disaster zone, I’m sick of not giving the kids the Clean house and life they deserve, I’m sick of being the fat mum at the school gates, so here goes.
When I get back I am going to:
1 exercise daily.
2 keep kitchen and bathroom tidy on a Daily basis.
3 create a cleaning routine and STICK TO IT!
4 eat healthily and lose weight.
5 do more with the kids.
Who’s with me?

Sounds good but be carefully you don’t put too pressure and set yourself too high a goal so you can’t keep up.

I would pick one thing to change at a time and focus on that for 6 weeks and then add in another change.

I am giving up work in a few months and I can’t face improving myself just yet.

I'm in.

i always say i'm in to these kind of threads then totally fail to make any changes.

SnookieSnooks · 06/05/2018 13:13

It does sound like a lot but actually you might be able to achieve several of them at the same time.

Eg eat healthily and do more with your kids - you could get them to choose a recipe and make it together (obviously do something like show them a book of healthy recipes, so they can only make a good choice). Incidentally I recommend the Hairy Bikers books - they are very annoying to watch in tv but their know their stuff and the recipes are easy.

Good luck!

@WhatcanIDo
We can start together then if you like?

I'm in! Been looking at other housekeeping threads too for inspiration

Moominfan · 06/05/2018 17:53

I swear by list writing. Even small tasks ie washing up are so satisfying. When you've had a lazy day and look back at everything you've done it gives you a well needed boost.

WhatCanIDoNowPlease · 06/05/2018 20:23

@FluffyPinkCloud

Yes I will be starting with you. So you go away Monday, come back Friday and start Saturday???

FluffyPinkCloud · 06/05/2018 21:22

@WhatcanIDo
That’s the plan, although I will be making a few changes on holiday. Swimming each day, eating healthily, doing stuff with the kids obviously.

Not be alone.

CMH123 · 07/05/2018 11:04

I'm in. Mine will be:

Continue to declutter house.
Continue to pay off debt.
Get into a cleaning routine and no longer feel ashamed / panic if someone calls in.

ICJump · 12/05/2018 23:05

I thought I might bump this as a reminder.

Shall we get stuck in on Monday?

FluffyPinkCloud · 13/05/2018 10:03

Yes! I’m going to do food shop today or tomorrow. I’m going to do this. :)
