Olive oil stain on granite worktop

Advice needed please - I have several Olive oil stains on a new granite worktop. Stupidly, I didn't know this stained. Can anyone recommend tried and tested way to remove safely?

Very odd. We have black polished granite which hasn’t marked. If it was me I would contact where you bought it from and ask them before trying anything in case there is a reaction that makes it worse.

Are you sure it's granite? I've had granite worktop for years and never had anything stain it, let alone olive oil. Mine were mostly dark, though. Marble is more likely to stain than granite. Not sure what you can do about it though, sorry :(

Yes it's definitely granite, although a light colour. I did wonder if there was a problem with the coating as berries have also left a stain mark.

I don't think it should stain op. I would go back to whoever sold it to you.
