How to clean tupparware so it doesn't smell of soup!

I have two large tupparwares which both last held soup and they still smell of it. Hence I decided not to put the muffins I made in them! But it tis very frustrating. Any tips for cleaning them? (Or will the forever be soup tupparwares?)

[PS I don't have a dishwasher]

I would say soak them for a bit in hot water and either wash up liquid/bio wash powder/bicarb and then leave tops off to air dry overnight at least. Works for mine as dh is always putting curries etc in mine then leaving them in work for days on end so they get horrendous

as madwelshwoman said. Also leave out in the sun to bleach them if they are stained.
