Blu tack stains on painted walls

Urgh. I made the mistake of putting Blu tack on my kids walls - bought a pack of those glow in the dark stars - and the tack has left loads of greasy looking blobs on the walls Angry

Any way to get rid or will I be better off painting over it?

I've tried oven cleaner, sticky stuff remover, washing up liquid... nothing has worked so far!

I had to paint over it when I did this. Nothing really took the marks away fully.

Scrape off with a sharp scraper. Clean thoroughly with alcohol then sugar soap and hot water. Let it dry then paint with stain block paint. Don’t just emulsion over, it’ll come through.

Take the old blu tak and roll it over the stain, like an eraser. That has worked for me in the past.

Thanks all.

I think I've tried everything, so looks like I'll have to paint over it. Sad
