Is there a quick way to get the water out of the toilet (in the pan not the cistern)

I need to give it a scrub. How do I get the water out of the toilet please!

with a paper cup or anything you can throw. use a brush to force the water back

It doesn't come out unless you switch the water off at the mains (usually outside the house. You'll need a special key) because it just replaces itself. That's how it's designed.

Can't you just put rubber gloves on and scrub away under water?

Ah thanks.

That's what I'd been doing. Wondered if there was a magic trick that that I should be doing instead.

God what an exciting life I lead. I bet Kylie doesn't ever wonder about these things!
