Nice way of telling cleaner she needs to clean the toilet?!

Cleaner came today. She doesn't appear to have cleaned the toilet in the downstairs wc.
I've ignored small things I've not been happy with but this isn't acceptable. Likelihood is she forgot but surely kitchen & toilets are priority?
I'm going to message her about it but need help with the wording. What's the best way to tell her she hasn't done the loo but must make sure she does in future? I don't want to sound patronising or passive aggressive. She is a nice person and an okish cleaner.
Awkward situations like this make me really anxious.

How about just telling her when she's in next? You need to be straightforward with these kind of issues or she'll do it again.
If you don't want to talk to her about it, maybe a message like "thanks for coming over today, I noticed the toilet wasn't done. Can you please make sure this is a priority going forward?"

I would just keep it breezy and to the point - ‘Hi X, could you please make sure you clean both the toilets next week as I think you forgot the downstairs one today, thanks see you on Xday Smile’

You’re her employer, it’s fine to tell her if she misses things

Like they do in school... a positive and something to work on.

Hi, I can REALLY tell you've cleaned xxx today, it looks great. Can you make sure all toilets are cleaned next week too please?

TeaBelle · 01/05/2018 16:57

Dear cleaner. Please could we change the priority of the cleaning tasks from next week, so that the toilet and kitchen are done first. If this doesn't fit into your time, then let me know so we can talk about what we can switch about. Thanks, cakes.

@TeaBelle has it.

Thanks all. I messaged her earlier with similar to the above and she read it almost immediately but hasn't replied. I don't think I'm being unreasonable though as it is pretty much one of the main things you'd expect to be cleaned.

You have a dirty toilet?

CakesAreGreat · 02/05/2018 07:40

What a silly comment

Leave a note saying you've now got to grips with what your priorities are for your cleans and list both toilets as one of those priorities.
