I’m justt curious as to what everyone’s cleaning routines are?
I just can’t stick to anything.
Thanks.

At the moment i break weekly tasks into 3 days:

Tuesday - dusting, vacuum upstairs
Wednesday - thorough kitchen and bathroom clean, vacuum downstairs and mop tiled flooring
Thursday - change bedsheets

Daily I vacuum downstairs, clean toilet, wipe down kitchen counters, make beds (alongside all the usual things like washing up and laundry)

I'm moving to a bigger house soon so my routine will need to change. I may try TOMM.

Daily -
Clean bathroom - quick swipe around with wipes, bleach loo daily or every other.

1-2 loads washing/drying. *

clean kitchen.

quick tidies and put away any clutter.

Twice weekly - hoover, polish, proper bathroom 'bleach' clean.

Weekly: change bed linen, mop floors, clean fridge, toaster, microwave, tidy kitchen cupboards, iron.

Jobs like skirting boards, windows, tidying cloakroom, etc are done when needed or when I can be arsed.

I should* do 1-2 loads of laundry to keep on top of it but come Thursday and Friday I get lazy and leave it to pile up knowing DH will deal with the backlog at the weekend. Grin

This monumentally backfires when I forget he's away on that particular weekend and I end up with the laundry mountain plus the stripped beds. Hmm

I'm a SAHM with a young daughter who wants a lot of playing with, so I have split big tasks over the week so that I never have to spend too much time on housework each day. The idea is that we do 'jobs' from 10-11am each day:
Monday - hoover and mop
Tuesday - bathroom, change bedding
Wednesday - quick hoover, dust/polish/glass
Thursday - bathroom, clean fridge
Friday - hoover including using attachments on skirtings, chairs/sofa etc
Saturday - bathroom (quickly)
Sunday - clean oven after roast

Daily we bung in a load of washing at the start of our 'cleaning hour' and I wash up after lunch and dinner/wipe round worktops/ wipe round basin and toilet cleaner down toilet after I've got washed. Also lots of crumb sweeping as necessary.

This is how it is supposed to work, obviously we get derailed sometimes but I try and just pick up the routine rather than bothering about catching up too much. I give my daughter a piece of kitchen roll or a clean sponge and she potters round after me cleaning 'safe' things like the outside of the laundry basket or doors. She will grow up thinking doors need a lot of cleaning! I have a henry hoover with a smily face on it which she is very fond of and she 'helps' me wheel him into place and generally gets in the way but I'm sure I'll look back fondly on it all!
