Help with a mouse

The other week I threw out some old doors and while the door was open a field mouse came into the house, I got rid of it.

I'm just wondering if there's a solution to be able to have the outside door open when cooking, but with something in front of it or blocking the bottom so no mice can sneak in ?

You could have a stable door, instead.

This kind of thing.

Worth paying it not to have mice in the house!

I really want a stable door for our back door but it's the cat that brings me the mice!
