When is the best time to get the best reduced food at the supermarkets?

Went to Tesco on a Tuesday evening about 10pm and there was loads of stuff reduced. I got finest sausages, organic chicken, pizza and a few other bits. Just wondered if there wasw a certain time that was best to go, would it be 2.30pm on a sunday when they will stick all the stuff in the reduced as they close till monday?

yeah, we go about 3pm sunday and get all the cheap bread etc

We have 24 hour supermarkets round here and have noticed that Tesco on a Wednesday morning can be good for this sort of stuff.

My local tesco is 24hrs...except on sundays!

Ours doesn't close on a Sunday either, don't know if that makes much of a difference.
