Right, so the new group of baby steppers begins.

Start with babysteps I am thinking we all need to have done up to babystep 7 by the end of the week. If you want to do more than one in a day, then feel free, but don't level up as it were (DH plays online games ) until we are all there!!!

If you are feeling all confident and enthusiastic, then do Kelly's Mission for the day too.

hi guys. i'm on day 14 with normastanleyfletchers club but will join you for inspiration every now and again to remind me of the first few steps

mission complete (infact did the entire bathroom - thoroughly!)

am now off to bank a cheque from Mr Tax Man (hoorah), will hurry back for my drink of water though

I often found the sink shining counter productive. Just the sort of think I start and then focus on until it's perfect, which meant toothbrush all around the taps etc, three going overs with window polish. Whereas that hour could have been spennt cleaning the oven which needs it much more.

Devil- you need to set your timer for 15 minutes and STOP! Progress, not perfection and all that!

OK i'm getting started the shiny sink thing works as dh had left all the dinner stuff piled up because the d/w was full - i emptied the d/w and relaoded it before bed, remembering then i hadn't done packed lunches and laid breakfast for next day. i have to do this as i've found otherwise in the morning i have no time to get dressed myself. Really pleased i don't have to go and but lace up shoes, that'g a HUGE relief! I don't understand the2 mins read reminders bit - what reminders? are they on the web site or am i supposed to write them for myself? About to go and do bathroom bin, didn't have time to catch this thread yeaterday so behind already!! Not sure about the kids room thing i could do it myself, the kids might rebel if i get them involved, still, i'll give it a go. thanks flamesparrow , it helps to have a support network, already i've kept this up for 2 days, a recordfor me!!!

Just done 2 mins on hot spot on dresser, stashed in a to do pile but that at least has got rid of the'hot spot' AND drank some water - this is working, need to find a spre 15 mins now, hope DDs will be understanding!!

The reminders are from the web site. You are supposed to stick post it notes around the house telling yourself to do little jobs/thnk positive.

Oddly most of us don't bother with it!

I did find reading the website useful to begin with but now just end up thinking I could be actually doing something instead.

I got up at 5am this morning and done the whole of my downstaires. I don't know what got into me. But i still need to do:

hang washing on airer
ironing
have a quick tidy upstaires
wash downstaires floors
shine my sink

later this evening

get stuff ready for school for kids
get out clothes for the next day.

ok now im puzzled we've just exchanged to an old council house and the kitchen sink is made of a dull metal so it dont really shine does that mean ive already failed

well i've given it a good scrub and its as clean as its going to get

Just make it as clean as clean can be. Make the behind the taps bit so pretty that you feel a disturbing need to make your DH look and say admiring things
