Quite ashamed that I can't do this so if you can also explain how to work it out I'd be grateful!

If a person earns £15,000 pa for a 16 hour week, how much would their full time salary be, assuming full time is 37.5 hours per week?

15,000 ÷ 16 × 37.5

15,600 ÷ 16 gives the amount per hour. Them × 37.5 to give the FE.

*Then

*FTE.

Argh

LoveYouTimMinchin · 21/04/2018 13:36

Is that right?

So, £35,156 pa.

Seems high to me?

Some easy ways to get a feel for the answer or check your answer

16 hours is less than half the full time hours, so the FTE would be more than double ..more than 30k

If it were 15 hours for 15k then it would be 37.5 k for 37.5 hrs

So the answer is between 30 and 37.5
And closer to 37

Yes it's right.

LoveYouTimMinchin · 21/04/2018 15:15

Great, thank you both very much!

Can I just check you mean £15000 pa for 16 hours per week, and not £15000, paid pro rata for 16 hours per week?

LoveYouTimMinchin · 21/04/2018 17:08

Yes, the salary for a 16 hour week is £15,000.

That's okay then :-)
