All seasons duvets - love or hate?

We need new feather or down duvets, one double for the spare room and a king for ours. It get so expensive! I’m tempted to buy two ‘all seasons’ tog duvets which are a 9 + a 4.5 tog that I guess you clip together.
What are your thoughts on these if you’ve got them? John Lewis ones gets poor reviews from the poppers not staying put and the duvets coming apart during the night and rolling into each other. I’ve also been looking at Soak & Sleep but not sure if they together or have press studs like JL.
Or do I just suck it up and buy four duvets (for summer and winter for both beds). Storage will be a pain though.

Thanks!

I bought an All Seasons wool duvet from Soak & Sleep about 2 years ago and absolutely love it. They tie together rather than clip and they have never come unfastened. I used to have feather duvets but would never consider one now, I just love how flat it is, it looks thin but they are really heavy and warm. I got sick of the feathers bunching together in my old duvet.

Love them.

We've got Spundown all seasons duvets on all the beds. They never come undone. They all fit in our domestic washing machine - singles fit in whole but I tend to separate the Superking before washing and tumbledrying.

We've got a feather all seasons, had it about 10 yearsand have never needed to use both parts in winter, the 9 tog one is more than warm enough wven with no heating at night. Some winters we don't even bother with that and keep the 4.5 tog one on. We keep the one we're not using in the loft.

Thanks everyone, that’s good to know. So I’m definitely going to check out ones that tie - not snap - together. Shame Soak & Sleep always, always seems to be out of stock of stuff. If anyone has any alternative suppliers please let me know. Would avoid King of Cotton at all costs - in my experiment they’ve been super rude, the products are cheap, made in China rubbish and I’ve heard they’re being investigated anyway.
Any other good places to buy a duvet? Thanks angels

I have a John Lewis one with poppers and it's never come undone. I love it!
