How does everyone keep white school polo shirts white?

Ive just had to replace all of my ds (6) white polo shirts ( fair enough we have got three terms out of them but still ) they were stained with paint, pens, food which looked like tomato pasta etc all faded but still very noticeable.

I wash all my whites together with a stain removing powder as a pre wash. When weather allows it I hang them out in the sun.

Any tips?

Possibly a soak every now and then with some kind of bleach? I used Ace bleach for whites recently and it did a good job.

I spray stain remover on stains, then do a prewash with a bit of powder stain remover for whites. Then i wash as normal with normal detergent and a bit more stain remover powder.
You could soak instead of the prewash. If particularly bad you could spray more stain rem after the prewash

Mine have lasted 2 yrs (YrR & Yr1) which I'm quite proud of.
Paint stains should be soaked in cold water with washing up liquid overnight (not detergent) & then washed.
I only ever wash whites with whites (never mixed washes) which keeps whites bright
I also use Vanish oxy for whites & put a scoop in with every whites wash.
Dry outside whenever possible or hang in direct sunshine as the sun will help keep whites white

I prewash with Napisan, plus a scoop of Biotex in the main wash if need be.

Thanks. For future shirts I will try soaking first

I do a pure whites wash and soak in bleach when I need to. It's the tomato based sauces that I find the hardest to get out but this does shift it.
