getting stickers of bathroom fittings

i have had new bathroom fitted for quite a while now, but i haven't managed to get the manufacturers stickers off the underside of the basin and toilet. Peeling didn't work, scrubbing with a brillo didn't work and i am reluctant to scrape with a wallpaper scraper as i don't want to scratch the ceramic, IYSWIM.

what do they stick these things on with? and is there an easier way to get them off?

Haven't tried them myself (still got stickers on there) but I've seen soaking them in oil (whatever you have for cooking) - they should then slide off. YOu'd have to try painting it on, or patting it on with a bit of kitchen roll, leave for a bit, then try.

cor, this drives me mad too

neat washing liquid sometimes works

there's this stuff called Zoff Plaster Removal Wipes (you can get it from the chemist) which is used to get sticking plaster off skin (I use it on the children) and that can work well

Lakeland's sticky stuff remover is fab (obviously do a test patch out of sight first).

Eucalyptus oil is brilliant at removing sticky stuff..
