Need to organise the chaos - is Flylady the only way?

I am a crap housekeeper. Really I am. The place is a disaster. It sounds pathertic, but I must get organised before baby number 4 arrives in August.

Flylady seems so complicated. I signed up for the emails but couldn't keep track.

Can I have some simple tips to help me organise the chaos, please?

I just read bits from the website and logged on here daily to read the task.

It really is babysteps, one at a time - keep the sink clean and add one more step in at a time. I'd suggest trying one new babystep a week (or maybe month) or it does get a bit 'oh hell what do I need to do now?'.

I'm still thinking about setting up the control journal but that does seem a step too far .

Yes control journey although appealing in a coloured pen and fancy paper sort of way seems so scary!

How do you sign up for the UK emails as opposed to the US ones? I couldn't see anything obvious on the site...
